………in LA can bring many things. Here are a few gems of the weekend to
possibly check out!
Get into it:
Get Wild!
Grits and Biscuits
This
is the third event that I've heard of since it’s conception. If you need
a good old fashioned, middle school, sweat your make-up and hair out party in a
packed crowd; Grits and Biscuits is the way to go. Known for their dirty
south raw party sets, Grits and Biscuit is the talk of the town every time it
premieres in LA. Can’t go to this one? Sign up for updates on Grits&
Biscuits
Get Busy!
In our lifetime, we have not witnessed the true essence of
Broadway Street and what it used to be. With 7 theaters, Clifton’s cafeteria re-opening, hotels, shops and bars; Broadway was
home to all things cosmopolitan at one point.
The bring back Broadway initiative is fighting for its return. Night on Broadway, is a free event that stretches from 3rd to 7th
Street on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. Street closures, food trucks and free entertainment all night (well until 11pm). Think of it as a night carnival. Starts at 5p. Go Metro if you can!
Get Cultured!
January 30th all museum's admission are waived. Click here for a list of participating
museums and have fun. The LAgant girl
recommends: California African American Museum, The Broad, The Getty, LACMA, Peterson Auto Museum; Museum of tolerance free on Sunday.
Make a day of it and try a LAgant recos (via Yelp).
Have Fun
