Wine Wednesday: HOGUE Late Harvest Riesling

L.A.gant boys and girls, put the Moscato down.  I beg you.  Any self respecting urbanite will shun Moscato and pick up it's sophisticated sister: the RIESLING.  (Pronounced Reez-ling) If sweeter wines are your forte for now, steer towards this late harvest Riesling.  The later the harvest, the sweeter the wine and the alcohol content is slightly higher.  This wine will not disappoint.

Here are the deets:

Alcohol: 12.5% (pretty darn good for a sweet!)

Variety: 90% Reisling 8% Gewurztraminer 2% Chenin Blanc

Notes:
Peach
Melon (again, NO its not mixed in the wine)

Vintage 2014

price range:  $8-$11

find Hogue at your local Ralph's, BevMo and (my fave) Total Wine and More, it's a great outdoor summer wine!
