For good measure I here's the visual map of restaurants on LaCienega to dine.  Corny?? Yes but effective.  Previous Road Map <- font="" post="">

this Years round-up: THE BEST OF 2016

"It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times" ....
But it's the only time we've got so let's celebrate the BEST of 2016.  The L.A.gant way.  If you need a recap from last year's round up click here!   Here's how 2016 lit the year:(click the red titles for details on the location)

Best Bar
Combination vibes & views; L.P serves great drunks (Freudian slip?) with a rockin' DJ.  You'll see a line down LaCienega (off Melrose) that makes you think it's a club with a cover charge.  It's that good!

Best Restaurant (casual)
This Leimert Park jewel will leave you wanting more.  Fresh ingredients and tasty flavor combination, not to mention the lunch sandwich special of the day for $5

Best Restaurant
On a Friday night (with the right weather) this rooftop restaurant is euphoric.  The food is fantastic, the live band is killer; perfect for a date night and/or girls night!

Best Urban Food delivery concierge
A L L F L A V O R N O G R E A S E
see previous post...there's nothing more to say!!!!!!!

Best Brunch
My mind was blown in the green house atrium, the buffet + a la carte that is also bottomless along with the mimosas. Through in the poppin' DJ and it's lit!

Best Happy Hour
Weekends included, makes this place exception, the staff is incredible, mexican food is done in a unique way (with vegan options) and I love love love the photobooth!!!  Make this a stop after brunch or before dinner!!

The Brunch Report: {PANN'S RESTAURANT AND COFFEE SHOP}

Growing up in L.A, you've surely passed by Pann's.  Nestled in the middle Ladera Heights, it borders: Centinela, LaCienega, and LaTijera; those that know this place will understand.  It is not until recently that I actually frequented Pann's.  The diner-like setting makes up in tasty food what they lack in decor and ambiance.  Bottomless mimosas are apparent winning feature.  Try Pann's brunch this weekend as a pre-game on your Sunday Funday.  Order the chicken and waffles.  Here is how Pann's rate on the Brunch Report!
Pann's
6710 La Tijera Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90045

Location (is it scenic, is there a lot of travel time) 4
CENTRALLY LOCATED BUT I POINT DEDUCTED FOR THE AMBIANCE
Parking (valet only, street parking, metered parking)

$FREE.99 DOESNT GET TOO CROWDED
Mimosas (I mean really, is this even a question.) 5
H E L L O
Music (is loud or background music, is nonexistent, do they play the hits)

I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THE BACKGROUND MUSIC OR LACK THERE OF
Crowd (good for moms, good for turn ups, good for pick ups or hook ups) 1

BRING YOUR OWN CROWD!
Food (buffet, mediocre, to die for)
VERY TASTY BITES
Price (how many dollar signs $=$10USD) 5

...AND AFFORDABLE!!!

Pann's only scored low on the L.A.gant girls rubric....
While it is not the most L.A.gant, I recommend it

the L.A.gant girl recommends.......{NAIL'D Spa and Lounge}

If you've read my bio, you know I am was a holder of secrets; secret jewels of L.A. that I didn't want the masses to know about.  I was fearful that the crowds would dilute my experience or the overall quality of my findings.  But I've grown! Matured if you will.  This place I'm sharing was highly recommended by secret source.  I am still in a conundrum on whether I should share or hold it close to my heart.  (Although some of you may know about it anyway!)  But because I wish them so much success, I must pay it forward!

Nail'dis sleek, chic, and superb.  It is truly L.A.gant: fun young and refreshing!  I believe nail shops to be the bane of urban L.A.gant existence; or urban existence period due to the unprofessional-ism, crowd, wait time... I mean really I could go on.  Nail'd surpasses all of the inferiority by: being appointment only (there's barely a lobby for walk-ins), having clean and sleek white decor with framed affirmations aligning the wall, competent and knowledgeable technicians, and soulful tunes in the background.  Add their stamp card program, affordable pricing oh yea MIMOSAS and you've got my favorite nail salon in the CITY!!! acrylics sold separately...like..at another salon. (ok, I kidd)
Nail'd Spa and Lounge
6281 Bristol Parkway
(same lot as Marshall's and CVS)
Culver City CA 90230
CLOSED MONDAYS and holidays
