UrbanLAgance’s 3 FER

It has been a while, I KNOW.
In the meantime I have still have been running LA…not like the bad girls though.
I wanted to share three cool spots that I have been privy to visiting: These three places totally deserve they’re own separate posts but since I’ve been M.I.A I will share all at once.

Total Wine

Chado Tea House

Game Restaurant Lounge

If you thought BevMo was something.  Total Wine will have you amazed.  I’m in Brea quite often and was at Lucille’s for a lunch date with my boyfriend and Total Wine was in the same shopping center.  I heard so much about this place but they’re none local.
We walked into a new world.  Encyclopedia sized wine guides, knowledgeable and zealous staff and a happening wine tasting area for $.05!!! SCORE I saw so many “never-seen-before” items I couldn’t compose myself.  The prices are much better than BevMo; I’m talking Cosco status.  I ended up buying: alcohol infused whipped cream!!!! Miniature St. Germain Liquers
and a soda can of wine (with straw).  HAPPY LAND is what I call this place…..but the even better news is

PRO’S:  VARIETY, WINE TASTINGS AND WINE CLASSES
CON: VARIETY (a gift and a curse I guess)

I went here for a bridal shower/tea big hats and fancy sandwiches.  I’m not sure how the atmosphere is normally because we had the entire place to ourselves, but I will soon find out because I booked the location for a Mothers Day tea already.

Their shelving is full of tea and tea sets for purchase and the tea was definitely tasty with a variety of flavors.  Chado has several locations but for the Urban LAgant people out there, this one is located in Little Tokyo of downtown LA, situated adjacent to a Japanese Museum.  The sandwiches were delightfully tasty; shredded turkey and cranberry, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese and smoked salmon and cream cheese.  Seriously delish!  It’s a very quaint location with 30 indoor seats and 10 outdoor next to the water fountain and great architecture.  Definitely a Sunday treat!

PROS:  GREAT ATMOSPHERE AWESOME SAMMIES
CONS:  PARKING

Game Restaurant Bar Lounge
5630 W Manchester Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90045
I’m still unclear of the true name of this place.  Formerly Westchester Sports Bar, the Game lounge and bar is a true urban jewel.  The outside fixtures and renovation is exquisite and inside has great booths, stools and bar.  I happened to go on St. Patrick’s Day and the bar was lit in an awesome green color. There was no crowd (yet) so we made our way to a booth had a St. Patrick’s Day special drink.  However I was disheartened to see no drink menu.  Apparently you didn’t hear about this place from the LAgant girl because it's quite popular TACO TUESDAYS w/ karaoke and such.  This place is a true jewel and what Urban LAgance is all about.  I wish them success and hope it will be around for years to come.

PROS:  local and nice urban atmosphere
CONS:  no drink menu
